Every August we bring together 6-7 local youth and host the Smooth Feather Film School. With a one to one student to staff ratio we write, film and edit a short film all in one week. On Saturday night we host a red carpet premiere where we show the film to our incredibly supportive community. The tuition for each of our students is free thanks to the donations that we receive each year. Excursions
One of the latest projects we're most excited about is taking local youth on weekly excursions out into the Maine outdoors. This was largely inspired by a 6-week program we ran in collaboration with the Maine Department of Corrections and ARC in the spring of 2016. We're honored to be continuing this partnership with Charlene Manchester and ARC in 2017.
